Free from pollution.  When we smoke we are not just pulluting our bodies.  We are polluting those close to us too, especially our children.

ABOUT SMOKEFREE CAMDEN

Tobacco Control is the term used for all the work that helps to reduce the availability of tobacco, reduce smoking and prevent people from starting to smoke. Smokefree Camden works on all of these issues in partnership between Camden NHS Primary Care Trust (PCT), the London Borough of Camden and other partners such as the Fire Brigade and Community Organisations.

This web-site aims to tell you about the impact and effects of smoking in the following ways:

  • Inside the smoker
  • Outside in your local community
  • Everywhere around the world where smoking tobacco affect peoples lives

The site also gives you a step by step guide to getting the best local support available to help you once you, your friend or family member decide to make that all important decision to stop smoking.

Smoking is such a priority area for Camden that in 2007 the Camden PCT Annual Public Health Report, Ashes to Ashes, was wholly dedicated to smoking. To access this report, click Ashes to Ashes
