MORE ABOUT CAMDEN SMOKEFREE ALLIANCE
The Camden Smoke Free Alliance has the lead role in coordinating and delivering tobacco control objectives as outlined in the “Choosing Health” Public Health white paper and the smoke free legislation.
The key partners within the Alliance are Camden PCT and Camden Council.
The Camden Smoke Free Alliance acts as a forum to ensure a co-ordinated multi-agency approach to the six strands of the Department of Health’s Smoke Free Action plan. These are:
• Reducing second-hand smoke through smoke free workplaces
• Health promotion through education and media
• Reducing tobacco promotion
• Smoking cessation
• Addressing labelling and regulation
• Tackling taxation and smuggling
